We are so “sickening,” that we are now off to celebrate someone’s death, noted CNN’s Jake Tapper.
Tapper expressed his sympathy towards the family of Bob Owens, but was faced with aggressive criticism. Tapper stated that it is “sickening” to see liberals “dancing on the grave of a conservative.”
Bob Owens was the editor of Bearing Arms, a website popular for their Second Amendment advocacy. On Monday, Owens was found dead in North Carolina, with a gunshot to his head and a weapon nearby.
Owens’ very last Facebook post read:
This post left most of us to believe that he took his own life.
Tapper tweeted,
For family and friends of @bob_owens — so sorry for your loss. Horrible news.

However, his tweet that offered condolence to the family, supposedly, brought out the worst in some liberals.
“Jake, can you confirm the reports that Bob was wearing a diaper when he owned himself,” read a tweet from a contributor at Vice News.
“Glad Bob Owens died at the hands of a mad man with a gun[.]”
“love to respect racist s**theads when they finally do the right thing and turn off the lights.”
Some reposted what Owens had said in past concerning the death of Trayvon Martin, the Florida teen who was fatally shot.
Tapper responded to this by saying:
@willmenaker @bob_owens I didn't like everything he said or did but he is now dead and he left behind a wife and children. Go find some humanity.

Another user characterized Tapper’s sympathy as him reaching out to “white supremacists,” to which Tapper replied:
@jacobtierney79 @willmenaker @bob_owens I have no idea what you’re talking about. All I’m seeing is a lot of liberals dancing on the grave of a conservative. It’s sickening.

Police are still investigating the cause of Owen’s death, whereas, a GoFundMe page has been created for Bob Owens’ family.
