President Trump has just two words for socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY): “Who cares?”
In a recent interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes, Ocasio-Cortez called Trump a “racist.”
“The president certainly didn’t invent racism. But he’s certainly given a voice to it and expanded it and created a platform for those things,” Ocasio-Cortez told interviewer Anderson Cooper.
“Do you believe President Trump is a racist?” Cooper asked.
“Yeah, no question,” she replied.
The White House condemned Ocasio-Cortez’s remarks, telling “60 Minutes” that “Ocasio-Cortez’s sheer ignorance on the matter can’t cover the fact that President Trump supported and passed historic criminal justice reform” and “has repeatedly condemned racism and bigotry in all forms.”
But the most eviscerating smackdown came from President Trump himself.
When asked by Yahoo News what he thought of Ocasio-Cortez calling him a racist, Trump appeared to be unaware of her remarks.
“Who did?” he asked.
When he was told it was Ocasio-Cortez, Trump waved his hand dismissively, and said those two words: “Who cares?”
