Sean Spicer To Defend Trump In New Book?

Sean Spicer
Don't we all remember that guy!

Former White House Press Secretary, Sean Spicer, signed a book deal with Regnery publishing, with the promise of giving an unvarnished account of the early days of the Trump Administration.

Upon announcing the book, which is expected to be released in 2018, Spicer said, “It was an honor to have a front row seat on the campaign, transition team and the first eight months of this historic presidency. I look forward to sharing my stories and setting the record straight.”

Regnery is a famous conservative publishing company out of Washington, DC, and has put to print books from authors like Laura Ingraham and Newt Gingrich.

“This isn’t about White House gossip,” Spicer continued. “I can tell you from first-hand experience of the rampant hostility President Trump faces daily from the mainstream press, and I want the American people to have an opportunity to hear the truth they won’t hear from mainstream media.”

“Regnery is the perfect home for Sean Spicer to tell his story,” said Marji Ross, president and publisher of Regnery. “Sean shares our mission to shine light on the stories the mainstream media won’t cover, and we are honored to partner with him on this project.”

“I looked back at the coverage of the campaign, the transition in the first six, seven months of this White House, I realized the stories that are being told are not an accurate representation of what President Trump went through to get the nomination, to transition to the White House and then his first six months in office,” Spicer told the host of the television program.

The strong animosity and the issue that was created because of the recruitment of Anthony Scaramucci as the Communications Director had led Spicer to quit his own position earlier this year in July. President Trump, upon his (Spicer) resignation, has commented that he was very ‘grateful’ for Spicer’s contribution and that he also “wish[ed] him continued success as he moves on to pursue new opportunities.”

“I’ve decided that it is incumbent upon me to set the record straight and give people a real understanding of what happened through each of those crucial points in our history,” Spicer had said in a statement.

Regnery has announced that “The Briefing” will be released on July 23, 2018, and is available for preorder.
