In just two years, Democrats have gone from supporting “immigration reform” to supporting open borders to, finally, insisting that the American taxpayer actually gives money to “compensate” illegal aliens who break the law.
Rep. Joe Crowley (D-New York)–one of the most powerful Democrats in Washington, who just lost his re-election primary to socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez–called for the U.S. to give money to those who crossed the border illegal.
“I suggest they need to be compensated for what this administration did,” said Crowley, during a news conference.
Crowley was referencing the Trump Administration’s “zero tolerance” policy that left illegal aliens in custody at the border, as they await immigration hearings.
Crowley’s ridiculous gambit highlights the leftward jolt of the Democratic Party in recent months–and suggests that, once again, they’re putting illegal aliens before American citizens.
