Even Facebook Employees Are Calling For More Tolerance

Censorship
How much longer will we be silenced? It's time to stand up!

An employee made a post on Facebook’s internal message board with the title, “We Have a Problem With Political Diversity.” It looks like the employees are feeling the same way that many around the country are starting to feel.

The memo has sparked more than 100 employees of Facebook to join together and formed a group called FB’ers for Political Diversity.

The Jerry Maguire type memo exposed what is called “a political monoculture that’s intolerant of different views.” Brian Amerige, a senior Facebook Engineer, is the one that wrote the post and said, “We claim to welcome all perspectives, but are quick to attack – often in mobs – anyone who presents a view that appears to be in opposition to left-leaning ideology.”

Senator Ted Cruz has been very outspoken abut his concern with Facebook being intolerant of conservatives. Last January he questioned leaders of Facebook, Twitter and YouTube about their role in limiting the speech of those on the right.

Just recently Facebook banned right-leaning alternative news mogul Alex Jones.

Even Diamond and Silk are accusing Facebook of censorship.

The internal Facebook discussion has gone global now that the New York Times have obtained a copy of the original post. Read it here.

Facebook employees over 25,000 people and just over 100 have joined in the fight to make the company more tolerant of political views. It isn’t an overwhelming number, but it is a start.
