President Donald Trump is drawing a hard line in the sand and says the government won’t reopen until his demands are met.
During the election in 2016, many scoffed and mocked the president for wanting a wall on the southern border, but now Trump is holding his ground.
Trump will not stop the government shutdown until “a wall or a fence” is approved and budgeted.
Wednesday is the fifth day of the government shutdown and with Trump’s comments; it doesn’t look like the end will come anytime soon. Trump is placing the blame for the government shutdown squarly on the Democrats.
I am in the Oval Office & just gave out a 115 mile long contract for another large section of the Wall in Texas. We are already building and renovating many miles of Wall, some complete. Democrats must end Shutdown and finish funding. Billions of Dollars, & lives, will be saved!

Beto O’Rourke, a rising star in the Democratic Party and a Texas Congressman, posted a tweet about how ICE is releasing almost 1,000 illegal immigrants from immigration cells and released in the heart of El Paso.
Many thanks to volunteers & donors who ensure that we take care of families being released by ICE in El Paso. 200 to be released today. Over 500 tomorrow. Please make a donation that will go to food and beds here: https://t.co/062olx7YIp pic.twitter.com/IPpFXCtiR8

It is clear that America needs some strong action on our southern border, but the Democrats don’t think the wall is the answer. They are going to have to make a choice soon. Should they go ahead and fund the wall or they should come up with their own new plan. Either way, it doesn’t look like this shutdown is going to end any time soon.
Who do you think will cave first; Trump or the Democrats?
