President Trump’s approval ratings are nearing record highs… but his 2016 opponent is more unpopular than she’s ever been before.
According to a new Gallup poll, Clinton’s approval rating is at a disastrous 36 percent. Virtually no Republicans see her favorably: just 4 percent gave her a thumbs up. Even among Democrats, her approval stands at a mediocre 77 percent.
Before the 2016 election, which she lost to President Trump, Clinton’s approval was at much higher 43 percent.
Clinton’s approval rating has been in a state of free fall since she resigned as Secretary of State in 2013.
During her tenure as America’s top diplomat, her approval rating peaked at 66 percent. Going back further, she had a 67 percent approval rating during the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, where Clinton, as the betrayed wife, managed to elicit sympathy from the American pubic.
