(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch had Senior Attorney T. Russell Nobile provide testimony on, May 27, before the House Committee on the Judiciary’s Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties during a hearing titled “Oversight of the Voting Rights Act: A Continuing Record of Discrimination.” The hearing concerns legislation that would dramatically increase the role of the federal government, specifically the Justice Department, in overseeing elections.
