Majority Of Americans Think Trump Should Stop “Illegal Immigrant Caravan”

Defend our nation, Trump!

If the Democrats though they could join the “illegal immigrant caravan” and ride it to victory in November, they’re sorely mistaken.

As many as 5,000 Hondurans are marching through Mexico, determined to enter the United States illegally.

The majority of Americans think the U.S. government should stop all the Hondurans from entering the country: 51%, according to the latest Rasmussen poll.

By contrast, just 38% believe the immigrants should be allowed to enter the country. 11% are undecided.

Unsurprisingly, the results seem to correspond with party affiliation: 93% of voters who Strongly Approve of Trump’s job performance want the Hondurans kept out. Out of those voters who Strongly Disapprove of Trump, 69% want the immigrants to stay.

This echoes the results that Rasmussen received from a similar poll in April, the last time there was an illegal immigrant carvan of Central Americans headed to the U.S. border.

In another potential boon to Republicans, the American people are following this story very closely: 80% of all voters say that they have been closely following the news.
