North Korea Starts Dismantling Nukes

The liberal left slammed President Trump after his controversial meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un… but now, it looks like it’s paying real dividends.

According to 38 North–a well-respected think tank specializing in North Korean issues–the North Koreans are actually serious about dismantling their nuclear arsenal–because they’ve already started doing so.

38 North reports that the dictatorship’s Sohae satellite station, a key test site for the country’s nuclear weapons, is in the process of being shut down.

“In an important first step towards fulfilling a commitment made by Kim Jong Un at the June 12 Singapore Summit, new commercial satellite imagery of the Sohae Satellite Launching Station (North Korea’s main satellite launch facility since 2012) indicates that the North has begun dismantling key facilities,” said 38 North in a report.

“Most notably, these include the rail-mounted processing building – where space launch vehicles are prepared before moving them to the launch pad – and the nearby rocket engine test stand used to develop liquid-fuel engines for ballistic missiles and space launch vehicles.”

“Since these facilities are believed to have played an important role in the development of technologies for the North’s intercontinental ballistic missile program, these efforts represent a significant confidence building measure on the part of North Korea,” they added.

The report goes on to describe in detail exactly how the facility is being dismantled–included photos of buildings actually being torn down and goods being removed from the facility, suggesting this is an actual demolition of the site.

President Trump’s foreign policy has been unorthodox–but with a huge majority of Americans supporting his positions on North Korea, and clear results that he’s succeeding, it’s obvious that he’s doing something right.
