A petition calling for the firing of ABC’s “The View” host Whoopi Goldberg has gone viral… getting tens of thousands of signatures in just a few hours.
As of Monday afternoon, 125,324 people had signed the petition from ILoveMyFreedom.org, calling for ABC to fire Goldberg after harassing and allegedly assaulting conservative guest, Judge Jeanine Pirro.
Pirro, who had locked horns with the liberal host on the air, claims she was then kicked out of the building when the cameras stopped rolling–after Goldberg spat on her, and screamed obscenities.
ILoveMyFreedom.org had originally set a goal of 50,000 signatures–but, after more than 25,000 had signed the petition just 8 hours after it was posted, they upped their goal to 150,000.
After the petition concludes, they plan to “send the names to the front door of ABC Studios in Burbank.”
“The energy around this subject is electrifying,” they added. “We thank each and every one of you who have supported this petition so far, and we hope for many more!”
