Last week was a rough week for the president, his former lawyer and campaign manager were found guilty for breaking financial laws. Nothing directly tied to the president, but it sure didn’t look good.
The next indictment might hit a lot closer to home.
Roger Stone, a long-time GOP operative told the Political Insider that he expects for Donald Trump Jr. to be indicted for lying. Not for collusion or for breaking campaign laws, but for not telling the complete truth to the FBI.
“The special counsel is going to charge Donald Trump Jr. with lying to the FBI. Notice they’re not charging him for having an illegal meeting with a Russian at Trump Tower because there’s nothing illegal about that meeting. The only thing illegal about that meeting was how the woman got in the country, how she got a visa from the Obama State Department, and why she was meeting with an official from Fusion GPS before and after the Trump Tower meeting.” – Roger Stone
Back on August 5th, Trump tweeted about the meeting and he let all of the “fake news” world know that he was not “concerned” about his son’s meeting that sparked all the collusion talks.
Fake News reporting, a complete fabrication, that I am concerned about the meeting my wonderful son, Donald, had in Trump Tower. This was a meeting to get information on an opponent, totally legal and done all the time in politics – and it went nowhere. I did not know about it!

Although Donald Trump Jr. does not seem to be implicated in a crime, being indicted for lying to the FBI is not a good thing. It seems Meuller’s strategy is to keep people in court that are close to Trump, regardless of if their crimes have anything to do with Russia. It doesn’t matter if Tump’s son is indicted for lying or convicted of murder, CNN, MSNBC and other liberal media outlets will give it the same amount of attention.
